In 2022, the infrastructure bill recently signed by Congress will expand the availability of broadband Internet access to support integrated healthcare, including home health, virtual visits and innovative technologies that enable remote health monitoring and care delivery. Near ubiquity of high-quality Internet connectivity will drive the success of telehealth next year and help providers determine the best use cases for it to increase patient engagement, nurture patient relationships, manage chronic conditions and control avoidable ED and inpatient utilization for greater cost control.
