During Dwight Curtis’s tenure on the Chicago business scene, he has introduced, purchased, and expanded businesses and properties. As Chief Financial Officer at Gray Matter Analytics, Mr. Curtis has primary responsibility for the planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of the company.
Previously, he served as President of Labelmaster for 23 years. During this time, he helped Labelmaster establish itself as a leader in the safe transportation of global hazardous materials and dangerous goods. His experience includes consultation with the United States Department of Transportation, United Nations and various other regulatory bodies. More recently, he helped guide Labelmaster’s global consulting, software solutions and systems for shipping dangerous goods by all modes of transportation, both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Curtis serves as a member of the Chicago Community Development Commission, President of Peterson and Pulaski Business and Industrial Council and as a member of the Northeastern Illinois University Business Advisory Board. In addition, he is an active participant on the Albany Park Community Center Finance Committee.
He received his BA in Accounting from Avila University in Kansas City, Mo. He has completed graduate work at the University of Kansas and Avila University in business and accounting.
Before joining Labelmaster as CFO in 1985, he worked in various financial positions for United Missouri Bancshares, Inter-collegiate Press and Rockwell International.
Mr. Curtis is a resident of the Streeterville neighborhood in Chicago. He enjoys many of the cultural, artistic and architectural benefits that Chicago has to offer.
